Most of my jewellery is very bold and statement sized so I felt the need to create something a wee bit smaller. The bump earring is a very wearable, stud earring available across my colour palette. Tactile, curvaceous ad neat to wear they make a lovely gift and cheer your everyday outfit up!
PIGMENTS FROM VENICE
My family took a trip to Venice recently. It was the most inspiring place, there is so much to absorb. We wandered down a street close to the Peggy Guggenheim museum and came across this amazing shop (it had no name, so I’m unable to share sadly) Anyway, the window with its trays of powdered pigments was so magnetic, we had to go in. I bought three tiny jars to experiment with…will let you know how it goes with Jesmonite. I’m hoping it will produce some interesting results!
COLOURFUL CORDS
My workshop is such a tiny space it seems to be the jewellery equivalent of that french cooking tv programme “The Little Paris Kitchen”! There are so many pieces of jewellery, prototypes and materials around that i have to make use of every nook and cranny. My pendants and necklaces are strung on Griffin braided cords which come in a gorgeous range of colours. At the moment they are all slung on a rope underneath the shelves holding the pigments I mix my colours with. Keeping them out in the open is nice as I love looking at the colours but there is probably a tidier place for them!
